My name is Kristen Hadnot and I am a junior Digital Media Innovation major and Theatre minor. I started taking photos in 2024 for an internship with my dad, who is also a sports photographer. I was able to learn the fundamentals work my way up from taking photos at the University Star, for clients, and now the Athletics Department at Texas State University. I have a passion for filmmaking and visual arts, which is why I decided to minor in Theatre. I aspire to become a Cinematographer. In my free time, I enjoy working on film sets as around the Austin area and being a DP for my friends films. Since film is contract work and not a full-time job, I plan to work as a sports photographer/videographer full-time, but continue to shoot films on the side. Since film is starting to leave the Los Angeles and New York bubble, there has been a lot of opportunity in Austin as it is steering into more arts, which helps my dream even more. I hope to continue working on sets in the area!
When I am not filming, which is pretty frequently, I am either hanging out with my friends and roommates, going to the gym, or shopping for more camera equipment. I also love listening to music. The last concert I went to was in September 2025, when I saw The Weeknd in San Antonio. I was supposed to go to Tame Impala in November, but ended up having to sell my ticket.
